BE AN ANGEL!
I was reading the Gospel but it seemed to be unclear especially when we are clueless about its historical basis. At first, I asked “was there something miraculous that happened in the Gospel? What is the significance of Jesus’ revelation of seeing Nathanael under the fig tree?” Badly confused, I browsed the internet only to find out that the “fig tree” was a symbol of God’s peace and blessing for the people of Israel. Most likely, Nathanael had been praying “under his fig tree” when Philip called him out to meet Jesus. From the past few weeks, we have encountered the nature and definitions of prayer with Fr. Geoff. It’s like talking to a friend; telling him stories and confessing our emotions and deepest hopes. When Nathanael asked Jesus “How do you know me?” There was an assurance that Jesus hears our prayer despite of his hiddenness...

THE LOST FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
I have a short piece of metaphorical story which I composed few days ago and it coincidentally somewhat suits the Gospel today. As we celebrate the feast of St. John Marie Vianney, it is also important to reflect on the magnitude of the faith it takes to become a priest of Christ. At times in my life, there is always something which drags my feet away to the shore. My feet are getting cold as the waves touch their tips and my feet are getting itchy to stay for much longer. However, I am very curious as to where the footprints lead its way so I tried to put up resistance and walk farther...
